Today is free for you to explore Norway's capital on your own.

Choose a sightseeing with a local guide, or one of the tours in the city centre. Guided tours of the city usually include the Frogner Park, with all sculptural Vigeland, the Frammuseum, the Royal Palace, City Hall and Akershus Fortress.

You can also book a tour and visit the famous Holmenkollen Ski Jump, where you will get a wonderful view of all the city and the fjord.

Consider enjoying an afternoon boat ride to see the best of Oslo.

Norway in a Nutshell: Oslo to Flam
Depart by train on the Bergen Line from Oslo to Myrdal where you change trains to the famous Flam Railway, one of the world's most popular train journeys. Here you travel down through the mountains and to the bottom of the valley, where the last stop is in the picturesque village of Flam.

Norway in a Nutshell: Flam to Bergen
Departure from Flam by boat – you will enjoy a cruise on the Aurlandsjord and Naeroyfjord (UNESCO), the arms of the famous Sognefjord, which is also called the King of the Fjords. Some called them the most beautiful fjords of Norway – we will let you to be a judge of that.

Arrival to Gudvangen, transfer to Voss by bus, where you will board your train to Bergen

Late arrival to Bergen and transfer to your hotel.

Bergen Free Day
Today you are free to explore Bergen at your own pace. Bergen is Norway's second largest city, and lies clambering up the mountain sides, overlooking the sea. Roam through living history in this modern, picturesque city today.

A nice option is to consider taking the Floibanen funicular which is one of Norway’s best-known attractions. Floibanen can be found in the heart of Bergen, 150 m from Fisketorget – the fish market – and Bryggen wharf. It’s only a 10-minute walk to the lower station from where the cruise ships dock. The journey up to Floyen (320 m above sea level) takes about 5–8 minutes.

The journey is an experience in itself, and at the top you can enjoy fantastic views of Bergen.

Fjord & History Cruise (Shared)
Take a boat trip on Tromso fjord on board of an authentic wooden boat and admire the Arctic landscape. Enjoy the ride around Tromso Island to unique photography spots so you take in the best views of Tromso fjord and the surrounding mountains.

Keep an eye out for local wildlife (such as eagles and seals) as we pass different islands (Kvaloya, Grindoya and Hakoya).

Midnight Sun Tour (Shared)
As the sun is slowly dipping towards the horizon, you set sail for the outer coast of Norway where you have an unobstructed horizon and nothing but the Barents sea separates you from the north pole. Depending on the day you can take the ‘south’ or ‘northern’ route along Kvaloya coastline with sporadically dotted by villages and idyllic
boathouses and fish drying racks.

While you sail in the midnight sun/sunset, a guide will keep an eye out for birdlife that is particularly active and lively in the summer months. One particular bird that can sometimes be observes are puffins, that nest on a few remote islands along the Norwegian coast between May and August.

Throughout the evening, your guide will share stories and insights about life in the arctic during these months of increased daylight, the landscape and other interesting sites along the way.
