Day 1 - Puno: Sillustani - Lake Titicaca
Sillustani - Lake Titicaca
On arrival in Juliaca airport you will be met by our representative. First stop is the archaeological site of Sillustani where your local guide will show you the most important sectors of the burial site and give a good insight into Andean culture. The archaeological site of Sillustani was a cemetery built in the thirteenth century by a civilization that occupied the area before the Inca domination. The creators of the imposing burial towers are known as Kolla people, and the huge towers were built out of respect for the chiefs and priests.
After the tour you will enjoy fine views of Lake Titicaca and the spectacular, snow-capped Andes Mountains as you are transferred to your centrally located hotel in Puno, where you will spend the next two nights.
Day 2 - 3 - Puno: 2 Day Lake Titicaca Amantani Island Home Stay
2 Day Lake Titicaca Amantani Island Home Stay
Over the next two days go back in time and experience rural life in Peru. You will visit the Uros floating islands before heading for the remote Amantani Island where you will spend the night with an indigenous family in their home for the night where you can get to know Aymara and Quechua speaking families and experience their distinctive way of living
Day 1: Home Stay
Today's excursion by boat begins with a stop first to the Uros Islands. After this stopover you will continue sailing to Amantani Island (approx. 2 ½ hours), disembarking around midday. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring the archaeological site of ‘Pachatata' on one of the hill tops of Amantani while the evening will be filled with traditional dances performed by the islanders.
About the overnight Stay:
Due to the high altitude (3800m) visitors require a certain level of fitness for the hikes on the islands and to the homestay. Be aware that the accommodation is very basic (shared bathroom without shower), without any electricity or heating. After sunset, the temperature can drop down to 4 °C making it very cold at night.
What to bring for your stay:
Warm clothes for the evening, flashlight as there is no electricity, sunglasses, sunscreen (high SPF), hiking boots, optional small gift (such as crayons) for the children of your host, charged batteries for your camera as there is no electricity.
Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 2: Amantani - Taquile - Puno
In the morning on our way back to Puno we visit Taquile Island (1-hour boat drive from Amantani). About 300 families live on this island famous for its weaving. Taquile inhabitants still live under the old Andean laws: Ama Sua (Do not steal), Ama Quella (Do not lie), and Ama Lulla (Do not be lazy). As you hike from the pier to the main square our guide will explain you traditions, lifestyle and details of Taquile weaving technique - one of the finest in the region. After lunch you start your trip back to Puno.
Breakfast and Lunch included.

Price Assurance
At Eclipse Travel, our expert destination knowledge and decades of travel planning experience come at no extra cost to you. While many think booking through a tour operator is more expensive than planning a trip independently, that’s not the case. We’re paid by our travel partners—such as hotels, activity operators, and cruise providers—via commissions, not by our clients.
Our team negotiates the best rates for you and ensures you receive unbiased advice, with no preference for any particular supplier. In fact, where we secure higher commissions, we often pass the savings on to you, giving us a competitive price edge.
Additionally, we lock in exchange rates at the time of your deposit, ensuring no surprise costs when it’s time for final payment. You can rest easy knowing we’ll handle the details with our suppliers. The only exceptions are national park fee increases or fuel surcharges imposed after your booking, though these are rare.
Take advantage of our team’s expertise and let us help you plan the perfect holiday—hassle-free!
