We are pleased to inform that starting on December 6th, 2016 LATAM Airlines will begin operating 2 flights per week on Tuesdays and Saturdays between Santiago (SCL) and Puerto Natales (PNT).
This flight will only operate during summer and for the first season is due to operate from the 6th of December 2016 to the 25th of February 2017. The return flight from Puerto Natales to Santiago will operate on the same days but will have a stop in Punta Arenas (PUQ). The initial schedule will be as follows;
Flight #LA001: Departs Tuesdays and Saturdays: Departs Santiago 10:45, arrives Puerto Natales 13:55
Flight #LA002: Departs Tuesdays and Saturdays: Departs Puerto Natales 14:35, arrives Santiago 19:30
Sky Airlines will also follow suit and begin operating a similar schedule as well.
The news is exciting for the region as Puerto Natales is only a short drive from the world famous Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia. Rather than needing a 4-5 hour drive from Punta Arenas this will cut the transfer time down and hopefully result in some lower pricing from lodges in the region. It will of course mean increased demand on these days of the week so the key will be booking early.
